We rented a car from Thrifty Rental Car at the Denver,CO Airport location from 7/4-7/16/14. I did the initial rental through AAA. AAA quoted me 1010.71. We arrived at Thrifty early July 4th with only 2 reps working & a long line of people waiting. We were excited and anxious to get going on our vacation but absolutely verbally told the rep that we did not want extras including insurance because we already had it. We didn’t realize we were overcharged. We were charged 1711.68 by Thrifty. It is absolutely a case of upselling and deceptive business practices. I went in person while we were still in Denver to dispute it by the supervisor was rude and didn’t care. I also emailed their so-called customer service who said that we were out of luck. I emailed their ceo Scott Thompson twice but he did not have the decency to respond. I also emailed AAA who said that I had to resolve it through Thrifty and I am not getting anywhere.
