Same thing happened to my husband and I. We reserved a car online at a $222 price. When we arrived at the airport after 8 hours traveling with 3 small children we were exhausted. The Thrifty agent could not find our reservation he said and spent 30 minutes chatting my husband up trying to get him to get upgrades, extra car seats, extra drivers, etc. All sorts of things we didn’t want. Finally I told him to just give us our original reservation. The car smelled, was filthy. When I got home I see a bill for $478. I’ve used many car rental places before for business and never have been taken like this before. What a rip-off!!!
