- Was looking for a rental car from Tampa airport. Went to Thrifty site. Was quoted a price… and it was $380 if I pre paid…. after I filled out info and pre paid…. with them taking out the $380 from my account already… I was shocked to learn that another $127 would be owed when I picked up the car. They give you 2 prices…. and make you believe that the so called Lowe pre paid price is the total you will pay….not at all informing you that you pre pay a certain amount and still have more to pay. … which in fact turns out to be the original price with no discounts….
