I rented a car for my parents and grandparents during their stay in Florida for my wedding this December. My now husband and I researched prices online and were expecting the bill to be $410. When my father handed me the receipt at the end of the trip it was for a whopping $730! My family had arrived late to Fort Lauderdale from Denver. There was only one “customer service rep” for at least half an hour until she was able to call two others that were chatting with another company’s employees. When we were finally greeted, we were exhausted, but distinctly remember saying no additional insurance. She guided us through the screens, telling us what to click for what we believed to be no additional insurance, and handed us a folded receipt.

When my husband called Dollar to dispute the loss waiver damage insurance, he was told sorry you are out of luck. We feel cheated, deceived, and robbed. Please help. We can’t get anyone to respond. We have been using facebook amd twittee to no avail. The customer service representative on the phone told my husband to not use dollar again and finished by saying it was no misunderstanding on our part and that we knew what we were doing. Very disrespectful.
