I ordered a full size via dollar’s website for Tampa Int airport on 8/18/14 for pick up Sunday 9/21/14 with return Friday 9/26/14 grand total $145.18 (I still have the email). The also emailed me a confirmation on 9/21/14 stating the same amount $145.18. I arrive at the counter and the agent proceeds to tell me it will be over $400 dollars. I was stuck as I didn’t have any other reservations and was traveling with a 2 year old. They acted like they were doing me a favor and got it down to $300.70, and told me it was state law that I could not decline the insurance (even though I have full coverage of my own and my credit card offers it as well free of charge). Then I get a three year old Kia Optima, dirty inside, scratched to hell on the outside, with 60k on the odometer (what a joke). Now I see a pending charge on my VISA for $574 dollars. This is the most obvious case of bai t and switch and over charging I have ever witnessed.
